Why I go by Dr. Chris or Dr. Creighton.

It's rather simple.

1. I worked hard to earn my Ph.D. and the right to be called Doctor.

2. Academia has a history of marginalization and exclusion, particularly of those who do not look like the media portrays as academics. In support of those who frequently have their credentials questioned, I will use mine.

I will make it clear when you can address me without the title.
